Scott; I love the third-from last photo here -- the back of the two men jumping onto the sled. The sense of movement here is just wonderful. Having most of the man in black in focus and the rest out of focus provides a great focal point that the movement pivots around. A great shot.

I like that helmet shot, especially for the white balance. I've shot some Utah games in the past and have found their red a difficult one to get right sometimes depending on the Rice-Eccles and natural lighting.

Looks like you did something I often do...forget the camera is still at 400 ISO :) Good thing that 40D let you go up to a 1/5000 shutter speed.

Nice shot! Just kidding. Actually I do like this capture as it has the makings of a great stock photo. It is well composed with the angle and pattern of the background, and the central message is clearly legible to be used in an article.

Congrats Scott! Those are some great photos and well deserving of recognition. I can't agree more with your comments as well. It's not that we need affirmation from others for our creative efforts, but I sure find it motivational. Thanks!

Scott;

Three great photos here. I particularly like the second one. It really makes you want to know where they're going and what their story is.

Great write up and examples. That top shot with the cool blue tint is excellent. Fun seeing you there, and the event was very informative for me as well. I didn't take all that many photos either, but I came away with a lot.

That top was is super. I think the horizontal lines in the background really set it apart.

Sounds like a good time was had. Sorry I missed it.
