Moose Encounter

A couple of weeks ago my extended family spent the weekend together in Island Park Idaho.  I’ve spent quite a bit of time there growing up camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, cutting firewood and even hauling our cattle there in the summer to feed.  We have a favorite spot to float down the Big Springs river.  Just as we were about to put our inner tubes into the water these Moose came out of the brush.  We carefully watched the Cow, calf and Bull cross the water and eat on the bank.  Be sure to watch the video at the end, I realize it’s not the best but it’s all I had to work with at the time.

Wonderful photos and video. I love those encounters with wild animals, especially something that so many people never see up close like this. Those moments truly are magical.
