Colorado River

My family and I drove to Phoenix from Salt Lake City last month.  We decided to take a more scenic route so we drove down Highway 89B.  There were many places that we didn’t have time to stop but we took some time to stop at the Navajo Bridges that cross the Colorado river.   Even though the light was pretty harsh in these photos I like how the metal bridges look against the red sandstone.  For the history of these bridges be sure to read what Ann Torrence has to say about these structures.

Great pictures! I really love the reflection of the sunlit cliffs in the river in the first picture.
