While filling up for gas the other day it struck me as odd to see the word “Self” on the gas pump sign. Are there any “Full” service stations anymore? It’s been about 15 + years since I’ve seen any full service stations around here.
I worked at a gas station/farmers co-op when I was in college that was a “Full Service” gas station. As the cars pulled up, I would quickly fill the car with gas, check the oil and fluids, clean the windshield and check the air pressure in the tires. Now as I fill up my car the “attendant” sits in their air conditioned/heated shack and watches me as I fill the car with gas, check the oil and fluids, clean the windshield and check the air pressure in my tires. – Go figure

I stopped at a full service gas station when traveling through Ohio last year. The attendant ran out in the foot deep snow and filled my tank and attempted to clean my windshield. I admit that it felt quite strange. I haven’t done that in 25 years.
I have just spent the last 30 minutes looking through your blog. Your photos are stunning! I don’t know anything about photography which makes great photos all the more exciting to me. I can’t wait to come back to see what you have next.
